Speaking of further afield, Ingen Consulting’s Director Michiel Kamphorst was born and raised in the Netherlands. When it comes to engineering, Michiel has certainly taken the road less travelled but it’s sure made for an interesting journey! After graduating from the world-renowned Delft University of Technology with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Aerospace Engineering, he studied aero and fluid dynamics to gain a Master of Science. Michiel moved to Australia in 2007 and has spent more than ten years working as a civil engineer and project manager. Allowing the principles of both disciplines to guide his ethos has resulted in an out-of-the-box approach to problem solving and the delivery of optimal solutions for private and corporate clients as well as government agencies. Instead of simply settling on a standard, one-size-fits-all approach, Michiel strives to refine and finesse his response to individual briefs. Ingen Consulting leads the way in providing a well-informed, forward-thinking perspective to local and global projects.  

Why Ingen?

The English word engineer translates to ingenieur in Dutch (our Director Michiel’s first language), while ingenuity is defined as being clever, original and inventive. We believe Ingen encompasses precisely what we do and the way we do it.
